3. Sauron

Sauron, the creator of the One Ring, is the most trusted lieutenant of Melkor, his master. He is one of the mightiest of the Maiar. He acquired scientific knowledge of the world’s substances and learned how to use them. Among his chief powers is his ability to deceive and disguise. Despite being the titular character of the series, Sauron never directly appears during the events.

4. Arwen

Peregrin Took, also known as Pippin, is a Hobbit of the Shire. He is a comrade of the Fellowship of the Ring. At the beginning of the Quest of the Ring, Peregrin was smaller than the rest of the hobbits. But after he drank the draft from Treebeard, he became one of the tallest hobbits in the history. Pippin uses the sword of the Westernesse as his weapon.

7. Samwise

Swise Gamjee, better known as Sam, is another Hobbit of the Shire. He was the best friend and gardener of Frodo Baggins. He plays a significant role in protecting Frodo and destroying the One Ring. 8. Frodo

Frodo Baggins is one of the primary characters of the “Quest of the Ring”. He is one of the three Hobbits who sail from Middle-earth to the Uttermost West at the end of the Third Age. Frodo is a fair-skinned fellow with thick, curly brown hair like most of the hobbits.

9. Gollum

Gollum is a creepy looking man with just six teeth. His toughness stems from his hobbit roots. He may look emaciated, but possesses a wiry strength. 10. Saruman
